Our Lee's Summit Chiropractic Team
We want your experience with our practice to be that of the utmost personal touch. Here is some information about each member on our team.
They can't wait to meet you!
Kendra has been on Team Essential since September 2020. She moved to KC from Arkansas when her husband, Ayden, started dental school. She comes from a sports background and played volleyball and softball at Lyon College, where she earned a degree in Spanish. She used to suffer from low back pain that limited her from the active lifestyle she had always known. Now she receives regular adjustments, and she’s back finding new ways to keep her exercise fun—like teaching aerial yoga! Kendra specializes in neuropathy case management in the office and is often running around doing several things at once. She loves to be a cheerleader on your healing journey! Her goal is to provide a quality experience from your first step in the door. Out of the office, you’ll find her crafting, playing with her dog, Norman, or reading psychological thrillers.
Jill joined Team Essential in June 2021. A native of the KC area, she attended college in Southern California, acquiring a degree in English and studying Christian theology. She has worked in several fields and jobs—including a year as an au pair in Australia, where she met the Aussie love of her life! Essential has been a favorite as it aligns with her passions for natural health, service, and community. Jill has seen chiropractors for much of her life (her sister is one), so she was immediately drawn to the science behind EC’s technique and its effectiveness for true healing. You can find her around the office connecting with practice members, copyediting documents, and trying to get her coworkers to laugh at her puns. Outside of Essential, Jill is a fitness and health-food junkie who loves reading and watching movies, volunteering at church, and being the "fun aunt" to her three nephews and niece.
Sara has lived in the KC area for 14 years and been a part of Team Essential since November 2021. She received her Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kansas. She was also an avid runner as a member of KU’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Since graduating, Sara has worked in several facets of health care—which now includes spinal health! Here at EC, she continues her passion for helping and healing people to improve quality of life. You may find her in the office treating acute and chronic pain with our cutting edge Softwave technology. Outside of work, Sara loves spending time with her husband, Brian, and friends and family. She enjoys traveling the world, playing at the lake on their boat, or relaxing with her husband, dogs, and chickens on their land.
Katy has been with the team since November 2021. She lived at Lake of the Ozarks for over 3 years helping to run a daycare before moving back to the KC area. Though she was new to the chiropractic world when she started at Essential, she thinks Torque Release Technique is amazing and believes it truly helps people live better lives! You’ll likely meet her at the front desk and be surprised that she remembers your name the very next time she sees you. Outside of work, Katy loves attending concerts, watching football, playing video games, and sand volleyball with her boyfriend Jacob, exploring new places, and spending time with family.
Cheyenna started with Team Essential in April 2022. She grew up as a military kid and lived in 7 different states (and Japan!) before moving to the Lee’s Summit area with her husband, Brandon, and their cats and dogs. She also attended cosmetology school and runs a successful business styling bridal hair for weddings. Cheyenna is passionate about chiropractic care, specifically for low back pain—her own has disappeared almost entirely since receiving regular adjustments! She has seen incredible health changes for both herself and her husband, and loves to tell others about these great benefits. In her free time, Cheyenna loves traveling and going line dancing.
Maisie joined team Essential July 2020! She is a goldendoodle retriever (75% golden retriever/25% poodle). Her favorite activities are playing fetch, wrestling with Dr. Greg, and snuggling. She can often be found sleeping in the back office, being cute, and saying hello to the practice members every so often. She loves chiropractic because it helps keep her paw-rents in proper alignment so they can feed her treats!
